skydiving over fox glacier

well this has to have been the best day I had in New Zealand. It was awesome! On our very last morning in Franz Josef, 18th September, I got to go skydiving. I had deliberately not been out drinking the night before despite the weather being bad - there was no way I wanted to be hungover incase I had to jump out of a plane at 12,000 feet. The plane I went in was tiny! I expected to be standing up when throwing myself out of the plane but no...had to sit down and hang out! The annoying thing about the whole experience was my camera had got soaked the day before when i went glacier hiking and so I had taken the whole thing apart, taken out the memory card. It was at 7000 feet on the way up I realised my camera had no card! I was gutted because this is one of the only jumps where you can take your own camera. I would recommend a sky dive to anyone especially a tandem - you have to go, they won't let you hesitate for a second!

Here's the plane...

This is me hanging out of it at 12,000 feet! The noise when they opened that door was unbelievable!

And I'm gone...

here are some of the things I should have noticed on the way down...I obviously had other things on my mind! Good thing they take photos for you!
